The Sam Getz Band

Backed by his ensemble, The Sam Getz Band, featuring his father, Tom Getz, on drums and vocals, John McElwain on bass and vocals, and Jeff Alten on keyboards and vocals, the exciting young guitarist presents a lively mix of his own originals, as well as his innovative twist on some favorite blues and rock classics. Sam has been performing regularly at numerous Cleveland-area club and concert venues since he was 14 years old, and has opened for nationally and internationally renowned blues artists such as former Rolling Stone guitarist Mick Taylor, original Fleetwood Mac founder and British blues legend Peter Green, and House of Blues recording artist Larry McCray.

Even as a toddler, Sam could regularly be found on stage, alongside his father's drum kit, comfortably out of the spotlight, with plastic toy guitar at the ready. Over the years, Sam and his guitars have grown larger ...and more serious! Now, at age 19, Sam has stepped out into the spotlight with his own compositions, original interpretations of blues and rock classics, and some spine-tingling guitar playing.

But don't let the age fool you. This is not about age. This is about great music.
