The Swamp Boogie Band

The “Swamp” in the Swamp Boogie Band began her musical career at age 13, playing bass. Switching to lead vocals at 18, she has been in numerous bands, including Fox, Babe, Flashback, Chain Reaction, Raging Hormones, and the Swamp Boogie Queens, playing many styles of music such as classic rock, disco, swing, and, of course, the blues. And the nickname?  She got it in junior high school when friends decided to call her Swamp instead of Marsh (for Marcia).
The Swamp Boogie Band features diverse musical styles including blues, R&B and classic rock. Drawing upon artists such as Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Debbie Davies, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Etta James, Al Green, Delbert McClinton and many more.  Their tight 2, 3 and 4-part harmonies and vibrant energy are always crowd pleasers.
